'Mean Mary' James could read music before she could read words and co-wrote songs at age five. She recorded her first album at age 6 and by age seven she was proficient on the guitar, banjo, & violin, and entertained audiences across the US with her vocal and instrumental skills. Her life has been one long road show interspersed with TV, radio, and film. She has performed more than 500 live TV shows and over 4,000 road shows—including national festivals, colleges, theatres, clubs and concerts.  She is constantly touring and after 12 albums is now on tour promoting her newest project in her classic style of Lightning Bluegrass Picking, Smoky Delta Blues, and Rock Mountain Beat. This stage crashing artist is backed by her own arsenal of instruments and is acclaimed for her rich vocals, lightning fingers, and spirited persona.  “Mean Mary delivers music as refreshing as a cold creek in July. It gets in your skin and before you know it you’ve walked the dirty halls of a blues club, found God in a wheat field, and stomped your feet on the sunny side of a mountain.” - Amazon Music
